What are the risks of liposuction?

As all the other surgical operations; liposuction has its own risks. Surgical complication like bleeding, infection and unfortunately mortality (death). Thus you should refer a board certified and experienced plastic surgeon to make sure that you are in good hands.

Unfortunately not many people understands the possible  consequences of this operation. Infection after the post-op period is on of the most serious risk. Cardiovascular risk factors are also an issue. Besides your plastic surgeon, refer to a cardiologist if you have cardiovascular risks like hypertension, hyperlipidemia or other cardiac issues.
